Since its inception, FIR has evolved from a small organization serving the needs of 250 participants to one with 9 separate initiatives; staffing over 90 employees and helping close to 4,000 clients navigate the road to recovery. The term FIR stands for "Forensic Intensive Recovery" and not only signifies the name of the entity but also the name of the primary initiative. The FIR model is used by cities around the country and around the world when new drug courts are developed and implemented.
